Someone Stole the Sun! book standing on a mossy log in a twilight forest beneath an eclipsed sun

The story

One moment the forest was bright. The next, everything went dark — right in the middle of the day.

Something is terribly wrong in Storybook Forest, and the woodland friends know it. Rabbit hops like a jack-in-the-box to spread the alarm, and straight from her burrow runs the Red Fox, to find out what Rabbit was rabbiting about. Together with Badger, Owl and Hedgehog they set off to solve the mystery…

But could a fire-eating dragon have swallowed the sun whole?

About the author

P. B. Cahill

Growing up in the shadow of the Slieve Gullion Mountain on the Southern/Northern Irish border, Patrick found endless inspiration in the fields and forests around his home. Countryside creatures and childhood adventures helped to shape Someone Stole the Sun!, the latest of three children’s books he has penned. He has also written numerous poems and is currently working on two novellas and another children’s book.

Written in rhyming couplets, he wrote this book after overhearing a real conversation between a mother and her children concerning a solar eclipse. Through the eyes of beloved woodland animals, Patrick gives young readers a gentle, reassuring way to understand the world around them.

Illustrated by Brittany Wilson.
